The Detect Trap spell reveals booby traps.
Spell Description[edit]
More often than not, the dungeons of Britannia are littered with traps, especially on tempting chests that promise a rich reward. However, these traps are invisible until the unwary adventurer is close enough that they can snap shut. Corridors littered with human remains are suspicious and chests can contain acid, poison or bomb traps. However, defense against these traps is possible. Detect Trap allows the caster to see all the traps in the surroundings, be they traps in the corridor itself or in chests. However, it only detects them. To get rid of a trap, the Destroy Trap spell has to be used.
The Ultima VI spell Trap can create a new trap.

Trivia[edit]
- The spell was omitted from the C64-port of Ultima VI.
- On Pagan there are spell scrolls with the same effect as this spell, though they only mark trapped chests, not any other traps.
