Gate Travel is a runic spell that allows the caster to teleport to places already visited.
Spell Description[edit]
Unlike the traditional Britannian variant of the spell, which teleports the caster to one of the eight major moongates of the realm, this runic spell transports its caster to a small moonstone associated with the enchantment itself. Once a magician possesses such a special moonstone, it may be positioned in locations of significance to which he wishes to return with ease. The workings of the spell evolved over time, actually making it more difficult to use due to the need for two instead of just one moonstone.

When cast on one moonstone, this spell takes the caster instantaneously to another moonstone.

- In Ultima Underworld, this spell requires but one moonstone to function (which may be found on the second level of the Abyss). In Ultima Underworld II, it requires two: one which the mage leaves in a desired location and one which he must keep on his person in order to align the spell. These twin moonstones may be retrieved from the fifth level of the Scintillus Academy and a treasure room on the third level of the Britannian sewers.
