Detect Monster is a runic spell that gives the caster insight into the presence of enemies.
Spell Description[edit]
This spell allows its caster to gain magical awareness of creatures in his immediate vicinity, allowing evasion of such beings. While it grants only a vague impression of what lurks nearby, it can prove an invaluable incantation for wounded mages attempting to navigate their way to safety.

- Detect Monster does not appear in Ultima Underworld II, although the spell Study Monster does employ the same runes.
