Locate is a spell that performs the same role as a sextant and divines the location of the caster in the world.
Spell Description[edit]
Casting the spell reveals the mage’s longitude and latitude in Britannia just as a sextant would. Unlike a sextant, the spell is also effective underground. However, this spell needs the rare and expensive nightshade; a deficiency from which a sextant does not suffer.

Trivia[edit]
- The spell also appears in the SNES-port of Ultima VII. In it, the spell not only shows the current location, but also all the various locations on a map of Britannia, as seen in the gallery. The same interface is used for teleportation and boat travel.
