Mass Sleep performs the same function as the Sleep spell before Ultima VI; it causes multiple enemies to fall asleep.
Spell Description[edit]
Should a mage wish to incapacitate a group of foes without the danger and expense of combat, Mass Sleep provides that solution. Casting it will cause a group of foes to fall asleep, allowing the caster and party to peacefully walk away from the site of a possible battle without any bloodshed.
Before Ultima VI, Sleep actually worked as Mass Sleep, inducing sleep in all beings in the area. Only from that time onwards it was reduced to targeting a single enemy.
