Detect Magic is a spell that grants clairvoyance concerning nearby items’ magical properties.

Spell Description[edit]

The Detect Magic spell at first looks like an all-purpose detection spell, but in fact it is used to analyse objects and detect the enchantments that are put on them, telling the mage their nature. It is very useful to the mage to know how many charges are left in a magical staff after the spell Enchant had been used on it.

Lore[edit]

Discerns the magical nature of special objects and the specific magical charge currently in an item.
