Speaking to the dead is possible with the Seance spell.

Spell Description[edit]

There are cases where a person exists even after death. However, those spirits that walk through the land usually have no way to communicate with the living. However, with Seance, speaking to these spirits for a duration of several hours becomes possible and it can be a fascinating experience! While in the Age of Enlightenment the spell only allowed rudimentary communication, it was later refined to allow normal conversation with ghosts of the departed.

Lets the caster speak with the dead as though they still lived.
This spell allows the mage to speak to all recently dead ghosts, until sunrise. If one were travelling to Skara Brae, the wise mage would have a healthy supply of appropriate reagents to cast this spell many times.
