Death Vortex is a powerful attack spell.

Spell Description

This spell creates a swirling, black vortex of death. First the vortex will move to the point designated by the mage; it will then repeatedly attack its victim until it is exhausted or the unfortunate soul is dead. Then it will move on to the caster’s other enemies. However, the vortex is totally harmless to the caster’s party. Thus, casting it on oneself will create a zone of death around the caster without any side effects.

Energy Mist is a lesser version of this spell.
