The Gwani Death Temple is situated on a small island in the frozen north of Serpent Isle, westward from the mainland amongst the ice floes. It appears in Ultima VII Part Two.
Description[edit]
The isle is very remote and can be reached only by means of an ice raft to navigate the frigid waters of the north. The isle had been used by the Gwani for countless years as a place for interring their deceased, a practice that had continued until the time of the Avatar's arrival there.
It was learned on Serpent Isle that following her death, Iolo's beloved wife Gwenno was laid to rest at the temple by the Gwani, whom she had come to know as friends. The chamber itself was accessed through the use of the mighty Gwani Horn, shattering the ice shields guarding the tombs and freeing Gwenno's body to be resurrected upon returning to Monk Isle.

- The need for the horn is one of the examples of the game being designed to be much more linear than its predecessors.
