Lost Lake is a body of water which was situated deep within a mountains west of Britain. Its water poured through nearby Lost River, eventually emptying into the western seas. For centuries, the entrance to the dungeon Shame lay along its shores.
The Lost Lake changed little throughout the history of Britannia. Throughout the Age of Enlightenment, it could only be reached via boat; although by the time of the Guardian's first incursions into the realm, the shores of the lake could be navigated on foot, as the Lost River had grown to shallow for a ship to navigate.
Like many prominent features of the Britannian landscape, the lake eventually disappeared with the coming of the Great Cataclysm and had vanished by the time of the Avatar's last visitation to Britannia.
|“|| There are two major lakes: Lost Lake, in western central Britannia, feeds Lost River, which empties into the delta on the northwestern shore, by means of a network of tiny estuaries; Lock Lake. in north central Britannia, is actually a cutoff inlet from the sea and still has a mix of salt water.|
