The Isle of Beyond is the second-biggest landmass of the Serpent Isle in Ultima VII Part Two.
Description[edit]
Located just east of the mainland, the Isle of Beyond is dominated by the city of Moonshade, which was built directly at the shores of the Lake of Enchantment. While the lake is located in the - though not exact - center and is one of the naturally dominant features, the island can otherwise be separated into quarters. While the east is dominated by Moonshade, the west is overgrown with forests. The south holds a swamp area, while the north of the island is taken up by the Mountains of Freedom. Travel to the island is only possible by ship or with magic, though there also is a secret passage to Furnace.

Both in Sosaria and here on the new continent, this town is dominated by members of my profession. In an attempt to rid ourselves of Lord British's tyrannical rule, we set out, joined by the residents of Fawn and the twin cities of Montor, to find the Serpent Pillars. Upon discovering land, my fellows and I settled immediately upon the Isle of Beyond's lake shores.

Places of Interest[edit]
- In Ultima I, the town of "Magic" stood at the lake, the name being strangely prophetic for the later settlement of Moonshade, founded by mages.
