Herdsman's Valley is located north of Tenebrae in Ultima VIII.
Description[edit]
As the name suggests, this is the place where big herds of Torax are held. Additionally, there also are produce farms that mainly cultivate mushrooms. Other than that, however, the place is rather empty, apart from a cave in the northern mountains that connects to the Plateau. Also, there are rumors that there is a haunted cave with a valuable secret nearby, but of course the herdsmen would deny such baseless rumors.
When the Avatar investigated the area, rumors about ghosts were found to be true, and managed to retrieve a powerful treasure: magical armour.

Trivia[edit]
- If following the city wall to the east, in the southeastern corner near the city wall, an Easter egg can be found. As is an Ultima tradition, the Avatar is assaulted by a horde of children. Their attacks are harmless, but killing them won't incur any kind of penalty.
- The ghost-quest can be accessed from there as well, after freeing a cave entrance from rubble.
