Shears are oversized scissors typically used for trimming and cutting. The are seen in Ultima VII and Ultima VII Part Two.
Description[edit]
They are tools of trade for shepherds to cut the wool off their sheep and for clothiers to create their merchandise. In a pinch, they can be fairly effective when used as a makeshift weapon. Although not balanced for fighting, they are one-handed, allowing the use of a shield if available.
Effectiveness as a Weapon[edit]
- In Ultima VII pair of shears have a damage rating of 6 and a reach of 3.
- In Ultima VII Part Two, shears have a damage of 1 and a reach of 2.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- Shears can be used on cloth to create bandages. This is a cheap way to create healing tools for the party.
