Loaded sling

Sling stones are ammunition for slings. Unlike the ammunition for other weapons, such as bows and crossbows, they are naturally abundant and therefore little or no effort has to be made in the process of extracting and crafting them.

Description

They are not in any way different from normal stones, and therefore no shops sell them; they can be found in nature in unlimited quantities, and are always re-usable. However, when a great deal of ammunition is needed at once, then using a rock hammer to reduce big boulders into sling stone-sized pieces is the best method.

Effectiveness of the Ammunition

In Ultima Underworld II it does average 3 points of damage.

Trivia

• Few game engines recognize stones as items. Only in Ultima Underworld, Ultima Underworld II, and Martian Dreams it is necessary for the player to actively acquire this ammunition; in all other Ultima installments, the ammunition is gathered automatically.
