The Magebane is a special weapon that drains enemies’ mana. It appears in Ultima VII and Ultima VII Part Two.
Description[edit]
The Magebane is not one of the strongest weapons and its reach is short. However, it is especially effective against spellcasters, since it deprives them of their ability to cast spells. Sadly, the Magebane is a weapon only found very rarely in Britannia and Serpent Isle.
Effectiveness of the Weapon[edit]
- In Ultima VII, the Magebane does a damage of "9" and drains mana from the foe.
- In Ultima VII Part Two, Magebane has a damage of "9" and a reach of "2".[1]

Trivia[edit]
- In Ultima VII Part Two the Magebane is exchanged for a penguin egg. The Avatar has to acquire it from the penguins, before confronting Vasculio at Skullcrusher.
