The musket, a hand-held gunpowder weapon, appearing rarely in Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
Despite having already discovered gunpowder in the Age of Darkness, for a long, long time it was not used for anything other than cannons. Using it for hand-held weapons was not even considered. However, 200 years after the time of the False Prophet, prototypes of hand-held gunpowder weapons started to appear. What is clear is that this distance weapon is only stopped by the strongest armor.
Effectivess of the Weapon[edit]
- The musket has an effectiveness rating of "9".[1]

Trivia[edit]
- It is possible to get Ammunition by clicking on the giant bones strewn throughout Britannia; this works best with the bones in the Drylands.
- Until muskets were added into the game, cannons were the only weapons in Britannia known to use gunpowder (not counting the out-of-place, futuristic weapons of Ultima I and Ultima II).
