Bladed staff

The bladed staff is a combination of a normal staff and the blade of a scimitar found in Ultima IX.

Description

The result of combining these two weapons is a weapon that can not only do enormous damage but also with an impressive reach. However, this staff is not a weapon for beginners, as the risk of injuring oneself or any allies is simply too great. Additionally, by the time this weapon becomes available, there are typically better (and safer) weapons already at one's disposal.

The damage of this weapon is 45(min) – 65(max).

Bladed staffs may be found at the following locations in Ultima IX:

• Covetous, on the fourth level of the dungeon.
• Valoria (Sold by Old Jak for 405 gp)

The shaft of wood or iron is topped with a curved blade that is often borrowed from a broken sword. The oddness of its shape requires excellent coordination to master, as companions are at risk of injury from an untrained wielder.
