The atl-atl, or spear-thrower, is the most powerful primitive weapon found only in the land of Eodon in Savage Empire.
Description[edit]
It uses normal spears as ammunition, increasing their damage through added velocity. Altogether, it does even more damage than the powerful obsidian sword, despite its slightly lower status in the local weapon "hierarchy." While hand-thrown spears can be re-used (they fall to the ground after hitting their target and can be recovered), spears thrown with an atl-atl disappear. It's good to keep this in mind if the hero wishes to maintain a steady supply of spears.
