With the discovery of the ancient Ophidian culture came the trouble of their legacy. The Ophidian alphabet is a very complicated one, with most of the letters looking very similar. So to work with these old scripts and avoid the hassle, this spell was invented. Translation automatically translates the ophidian script and runic script into standard latin letters.

Note that the lens found in the library of Monk Isle does the same.


Once cast, this spell temporarily enables its subject to understand unknown languages, including ancient runes and text. It is very useful for the scholarly mage.
