Fire Ring spell causes a ring of Fire Fields to erupt around the designated target. Since the ring is not completely closed, the foes can potentially escape the fire. This makes it less useful than other attack spells.

The Ultima VII Part Two version uses its blue-flame version of the Fire Fields.


Fire Ring
This spell create a ring of fire that will encircle the mage's target.
This spell is identical to Fire Field, save that it forms a protective ring of blue flame.


In the SNES-port
  • The spell does also appear in the SNES-Port of Ultima VII. In it, the spell is even less useful than in the original since the ring is not even close to complete and monsters have no problem with walking around the fires. Instead, the danger of the Avatar getting hurt is much bigger.
