The House of Baths

The Baths is a Fellowship run attraction which can be found in Buccaneer's Den at the time of Ultima VII. The Baths offer a variety of erotic services, ranging from innocent massages to full service prostitution, although the proprietors of the establishment seldom advertise its capacity as a brothel.

Description[edit]

Founded using Fellowship funds during Buccaneer's shifting economy in the early Age of Armageddon, the Baths capitalized on the burgeoning vice industry that bloomed in the settlement of mostly retired pirates. During the events of Ultima VII, the Baths were operated by Glenno, a shrewd but charming gentleman who personally oversaw the facilities operations each night, tending the door himself.

For three hundred pieces of gold, a traveler could enjoy access to the bathhouse's interior, and the attentions of the attractive hosts and hostesses within. The courtesans of the Baths (Martine, "Wench" and Roberto) would offer to attend to guests with massages, bathing, or conversation, and all were known to bed clients of either gender if asked. While all sex workers within the Baths emphatically denied any manner of exploitation in their work, incidents such as Robin’s attempt to sell Constance into service at the establishment speak to a darker side to the institution.

Large stores of gold and gems could be found hidden within the building which housed the Baths by a careful seeker, with the lever which opened onto the treasures of this house of ill repute carefully hidden within the facility's library.

Lore[edit]

Still, Buccaneer's Den has attracted many travelers in recent years with the lurid thrill of its well-monied House of Games and sensuous indoor Baths.
Glenno and his bunch — Martine, Wench and Roberto — are kinder souls. Especially Roberto. I could spend hours just basking in his, well, kindness.

Any of the courtesans at The Baths will tell the Avatar about the secret passages in the mountains.
