Selwyn's Tower
Selwyn's Tower is the tower of the dark mage of the same name, Selwyn, located west of the Serpent's Spine mountains.
Description[edit]
This tower serves as Selwyn's combined laboratory, home and storage room. However, it is completely impossible to enter the tower from the outside, as Selwyn has made sure, that entrance is only possible with magical means. And should an intruder manage to do this, his ghost-guard would attack the intruder at once.
The Avatar learned of the tower after killing Selwyn in Ultima VII. The mage dared the hero in his last will to manage to enter his tower and challange his "pet". Finding a teleporter mirror in the hideout, the Avatar managed to enter, and, after destroying the ghost-guard, looted the tower for useful equipment.
Lore[edit]
“ | I do hearby bequeath my firedoom staff to anyone who is mighty and cunning enough to penetrate the defenses of my fortress and slay my pet. May all who read this rot in death! – from Selwyn's Last Will (Ultima IV)

Trivia[edit]
- Selwyn is quite vain, the tower actually has a sign proclaiming it to be "Selwyn's Tower".
- The exact coordinates are 8°N 51°W.
- There are two ways to enter the tower. Either with the teleporter mirror, or by walking at the northern wall, until the roof is turned off by the engine, allowing the usage of the spell Telekinesis to flip the switch.
