Conventicle of the Dead
The Conventicle of the Dead is a site which may be found within the depths of the Catacombs. It is here that the Heart of Earth is interred.
Description[edit]
Little is known about the Conventicle of the Dead or its origins, although the structure appears to be in some way dedicated to the worship of Lithos. The key to the monument was buried with the bones of a woman long since dead - Mariota the conventicler - and only an adventurer willing to retrieve it from Pit of Death would be able to gain access to this place and the artifact housed within it.
The Avatar would enter the Conventicle while being exiled on Pagan, either by obtaining said key or by using the powers of Necromancy to summon a golem to throw open the doors. Once inside, the hero would abscond with Lithos' Heart of Earth, and would later use this object to rob the Mountain King of his power.
