Marney's tomb is the final resting place of Marney in the graveyard of Skara Brae, as seen in Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
Some time after the conclusion of the Gargoyle War, the already frail health of young Marney Delancy took a turn for the worse and the young woman perished from illness. In order to honor her, the fisherman Yorl, her caretaker and friend of her late father Quenton, built this tomb on the local graveyard of Skara Brae as a final resting place for her mortal remains.[1] The tomb survived the firestorm that destroyed Skara Brae undamaged and could be visited by the Avatar during the quest of the Black Gate.
Trivia[edit]
- The tomb holds a secret. There is a hidden lever behind the statue just west of it. Flipping it opens one of the tomb's walls, revealing a small room containing magical items and all plot items for the Skara Brae quest.
- The sign at the entrance reads in runic, For the love of Marney.
