Unlike its predecessor, there are many keys in Ultima VII. It is very difficult to keep inventory, since the game does not have a keyring feature and some keys do open multiple doors. To make key-use more orderly, here is a complete overview, complete with notes about special properties of said keys.
All inns use the same-looking key, listed at the bottom.
The list is not complete, some keys in Despise were missed.

Once unlocked, doors will not be re-locked so the key can be discarded, if not using the Keyring Mod.
