Sintag is a guard working at the House of Games in Buccaneer's Den. He appears in Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
Brutish, rough and to the point, Sintag dealt with "troublemakers" in the House of Games, ensuring that those caught cheating the casino would not have the opportunity to do so again. By the time the Avatar met him, he had already seen quite a bit of action in the course of his work, having run Robin, Battles and Leavell out of town with the aid of his brothers and having very recently helped to catch the trickster, Sullivan, that he might suffer the displeasure of the Fellowship.[1]
Should the Avatar speak to Sintag with the aid of the blackrock cube, questions could be asked about Sullivan's fate, as well as the discovery of the hidden torture chamber which lay behind the house of games. The infamous Hook could be persuaded to give information, whom Sintag would reveal lived in the selfsame hidden caverns. The hero, realizing the importance of locating Hook's belongings, would thereafter use the powers of the cube to compel Sintag to release the key to these passages, allowing access to the assassin's lair.[2]
Lore[edit]
“ | Gambling and gaming have overrun the island, all run by retired rogues and scoundrels. Smithy is a good example. I do not know him well enough to fully describe his personality, though that should tell thee something right there. And his guard, Sintag, is not one to cross at the House of Games. – from Key to the Black Gate (Ultima VII)

Trivia[edit]
- Getting the key from Sintag is not strictly necessary. Using the spell Telekinesis to flip an otherwise unreachable lever at the back of the Fellowship hall also allows entrance to the caves.
