Hail, traveller, and welcome to The Codex of Ultima Wisdom, an encyclopedia that deals with the Ultima series of computer role-playing games by Origin Systems, Inc. and Electronic Arts. The encyclopedia has grown to cover all parts of the series, as well as Ultima Online. The Codex is open to everyone, so anyone can create or edit a page. So far we have created 4,333 articles. What's New in the Codex (edit news) April 7th, 2013 Kickstarter raised nearly $2 million for Forsaken Virtues, the first episode of Shroud of the Avatar. [1] March 8th, 2013 Shroud of the Avatar officially launches. Richard Garriott's company Portalarium is raising funds on Kickstarter to develop the RPG, which will have solo and multiplayer modes March 3rd, 2013 2,000,000 page views and 70,000 edits since becoming The Codex of Ultima Wisdom. The Ultima IX Transcript is complete. Huge section for The Ultima 6 Project, including NPCs, walkthrough, maps, and item locations. Vastly improved images on many map pages. Several new or rewritten walkthroughs. Improved Weapon Values page. Improvement to merchandise and trinkets pages. September 9th, 2012 The Codex of Ultima Wisdom is now at the Ultima Codex. July 22nd, 2012 On July 12th, 2012, Ultima Forever was officially announced. For more news, see the Ultima Codex. We hope to be posting lots of Ultima Forever information to the Codex of Ultima Wisdom as more is revealed. As Ultima became popular amongst Japanese gamers, short comics and stories about the series also began to appear in a variety of publications featuring computer game related content.
