Ultima Online: Samurai Empire
Ultima Online: Samurai Empire is the sixth expansion to the Ultima Online MMORPG. It was developed and published by Electronic Arts and released on November 2, 2004.
Gameplay[edit]
This newest expansion is featuring an oriental-themed environment, allowing players to play archetypical characters such as samurai and ninja. It also added a new area named the Tokuno Islands, where the whole theme is living up to its fullest. Fitting with the theme, two new skills were added to the game: Ninjitsu (for those with less scruples) and Bushido (for those with honorable intentions).

Other Releases[edit]
Ultima Online: Gold and The Eighth Age are both virtually identical to the normal release in terms of game content. The former is a bare-bones CD-release (only from Wal-Mart) and the latter holds several extras not present in the normal game box.
Trivia[edit]
- This would be the final expansion to see widespread retail release on physical media. All following expansion were distributed mainly online, though art of course still is produced for the various expansions.
- Again, the Japanese editions have vastly different box art - fitting this time, considering the theme of the expansion. As a bonus, pre-orderers did receive a rollout cloth map that could be hung onto the wall like traditional Japanese tapestries.
- For those attending the premier event, special gifts were given, seen in the gallery.
- Numerous beautiful illustrations were made and are shown in the gallery below, together with their concept art.
