Located at the western edge of the Drylands, the Desert Dungeon is a place with a bloody history.
Description[edit]
Besides monsters, it is regularly a place of clashes between honest adventurers seeking to uphold virtue and scroundels who don't give a damn on being virtuous. The end result is always lots of bloodshed. Therefore it is better avoid it, whenever possible.
In Ultima VII the Avatar entered the dungeon to loot it, and discovered the latest, bloody battlefield in the process. During that the hero stumbled over a hidden teleporter in one of the caves and discovered the remains of an unfortunate man called Denyel, who'd been locked inside a cave without exit over a century ago.

Trivia[edit]
- Once being stuck in the same room as Denyel, the only ways to escape are either the Orb of the Moons or magical teleportation (Recall, Help). Otherwise the only way out is to somehow commit suicide - even if it means starving to death on purpose.
