Smite Foe is an attack spell.

Spell Description[edit]

Smite Foe is the most potent attack spell known in runic magic, and it will kill most living creatures who find themselves its target – grievously injuring those few beings which can withstand its power. It has no effect, however, on undead beings nor on magical constructs such as golems, since the spell relies on the fact that the target needs the ability to actually bleed.

Lore[edit]

This spell is a more powerful version of the Third Circle Bleeding spell. It causes a single creature (which must be one that can bleed) to take 110 points of damage, plus 3 points per level of the caster’s casting skill. It will kill almost any creature.

Trivia[edit]

  • While the spell is powerful, it only becomes available late in the game when many of the enemies are undead (as on Rhiannon), and the finale, which takes place in Britannia and has a spell cap of 4th circle due to the blackrock dome.
  • The spell is not revealed in the game nor by any accompanying materials, but discovered by deducing that adding a Vas rune to the spell Bleeding enhances its power, or by reading the clue book.
