Rock Flesh is a necromantic spell that makes the caster invincible.
Spell Description[edit]
The spell Rock Flesh gives the Necromancer’s flesh the resistance of stone, making the caster temporarily invulnerable to any kind of physical injury. This is an ideal spell when the caster predicts lethal opposition, having the same effect as drinking a purple potion. However, unlike said potion, it lasts 100 seconds longer. A caveat is that while it is effective against a wide range of injurious energies, heat damage from lava or drowning in water are still very lethal.

With this ritual, the Necromancer gains an innate resistance to damage by transforming the very flesh into a substance as strong as stone.

The way of the Necromancer is difficult. You will be assailed in many ways. And so will this happen before you next meet a Necromancer. Learn these words, Rel Sanct Ylem. Those words, and Wood and Dirt, will make you become as hard as stone. Now you must continue upon your way. May Lithos smile upon you.

- This spell (apart from using a potion) is the only way in the Shrine of the Ancient Ones to pass through the colored beams of death.
- A purple potion in Ultima VIII does have the same effect as the spell, but these are rare.
