Ultima Underworld Install Guide
This install guide comes with Ultima Underworld.
Description[edit]
Due to the technological complexity of the game, the guide was added to the box. It goes in detail through the installation and setup process of the game, including the sound card selection. It also does go through the various technological difficulties one could encounter and how to solve them.
Other Editions[edit]
The reprint of the guide for the Ultima Underworld/Wing Commander II combo box was printed with red ink (though it does fit thematically). The guide was combined with the one for the sequel in the Underworld Series and revised due to change in format. The European editions of the book are multilingual. Beside English, they also hold the same content in German, French and Italian. A separate translated version for the Polish market exists as well. The Japanese versions for the PC-98 and FM-Towns are have a new cover and hold the instructions for their respective systems in Japanese.
The later budget releases for both Underworld games combine this and the reference card into one booklet - the European edition each in the language of the market is was sold. The budget release in Australia had the same booklet, just in a different form factor and an actual cover.
