As the first Ultima title released for Windows, the install guide for Ultima IX is very detailed regarding system requirements, installation procedures, and configuration, including a troubleshooting guide for common problems. The guide also includes detailed instructions on gameplay, various keyboard commands, and explanations of the interface and gameplay mechanics.
Other Editions[edit]
The install guide was translated without alterations into the following languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Thai, Chinese (Taiwan), and Korean. Only the German, French, Thai, Chinese, and Korean versions retain the original cover design; the content, however, is always the same, merely translated. The fully translated Japanese version has a different cover but the same content.
