Ultima VII Part Two: Serpent Isle Install Guide
The release of Ultima VII Part Two was accompanied by an installation guide, much of which focused on easing the challenges of running a resource-heavy game on an ill-suited operating system like MS-DOS.

Like Ultima VII, Ultima VII Part Two had a highly complex installation and set-up process – especially due to the Voodoo Memory Manager (a third-party memory management tool designed to circumvent DOS's memory limitations) – requiring detailed documentation. Besides coping with this third-party tool, the guide also details how to work with MS-DOS's memory tools, how to create a boot floppy disk to set up the computer to run the game, and concludes with instructions on using the screensaver that came with the game for MS-Windows.
Other Editions[edit]
The installation guide was also released in German, Spanish, and French versions in Europe – though not as a combined guide. These versions were printed only in monochrome, unlike the original, which featured red text.
The American and European editions of The Complete Ultima VII combined the installation guides of both games into a single guide and altered them to fit the CD-ROM format. The later budget release combined it with both guides into a single booklet. In the European budget release, it was combined with the guides and printed only in the language of the market in which it was sold. The Australian budget release of the combined booklet is similar, but features a different form factor and cover.
