Ultima I Reference Card
This is the reference card coming with the remake of Ultima I.
Description[edit]
Unlike the reference card coming with the original issue of the game, this reference card of course is more detailed. After the loading instructions for the version of the game the card does go into details about the character generation, lists all the commands and what they do, explains movement in the game and how the game screen is divided. Since most of these things are not explained in the game, reading the card back then was mandatory to be able to play the game.
Other Editions[edit]
The remake of Ultima I was released for the IBM-PC, Apple II and C64, and thus each of those systems has their own reference card taking the different system architecture into account. The cards are easy to keep apart, due to printed with different ink colors. The card for the Apple II is printed with brown ink, the one for the C64 with green ink and the one for the IBM-PC with blue ink. The release in the Ultima Trilogy I II III would combine this with the other reference cards.
The release in Japan for the PC-98 by PonyCanyon has the reference card in Japanese and adjusted for the system.
