Ultima III: Exodus[edit]
In Ultima III the evasion rate is determined solely by the armour. No other player attribute affects it. The only effect of armour is to evade an enemy's melee attack or magic attack. Armour does not absorb any damage and is ineffective against Dragon.

Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar[edit]
In Ultima IV the evasion rate is determined solely by the armour. No other player attribute affects it. All monsters have the same evasion.[1] The only effect of armour is to evade an enemy's melee attack. Armour does not absorb any damage and is ineffective against projectiles.
A bug in the C64 version causes armour to have no effect at all. In this version the evasion rate is determined instead by the first letter of the character's name.
