The Ultima V Red Tabard Patch, also known as A Red Tabard for your Avatar, was created by Zhelkas for the PC version in May 2023.
It gives the Avatar sprite a plain red tabard, as well as yellow pants and brown boots.
This is to have the Avatar resemble their appearance in the Ultima V box cover more closely.
Zhelkas edited the TILES.16 file to change the Avatar sprite color. Zhelkas used an executable that compressed and decompressed the TILES.16 file, created by Reddit user behindtimes.
The patch replaces the TILES.16 file with a different one that includes the red tabard. It is recommended to make backups of this file first.

- Changes the Avatar sprite's tabard to red when on foot, using the magic carpet, on horseback, and when looking in a mirror.
