Helmets (often truncated to simply “helms”) are armour for one's head. Without a helmet, serious injury to the head can occur in the heat of battle.
The Various Helmets[edit]
Numerous types of helmets have appeared throughout the ages, and hereafter follows a list of all known variations:
- Leather cap – part of leather armour
- Chain coif – part of chain armour
- Crested helm – part of scale armour
- Great helm – part of plate armour
- Magic helm – part of magic armour
- Bone helm – part of bone armor
- Wyrmguard helm – part of Wyrmguard armor
- Blackrock helm – part of blackrock armour
- Caddellite helm – protects from noise of the Cube Generator
- Helm of Courage – artifact on the Serpent Isle
- Helm of Light – illuminates surroundings, keeps warm
- Spiked helm – also a weapon
- Viking helm – a decorative helm
