Baradin's Town is an anachronistic village on Earth in the Pangea which exists in what would be the early Mesozoic period of Earth (before the dinosaurs came to be). It exists within the alternate history created by Minax's time doors in Ultima II.
Description[edit]
Baradin's Town could be found at the southern end of the Pangea, in the region that would become Africa. It was an aberration in what should have been present during the era, as the earliest human settlements would not have developed until hundreds of million years in the future. Its existence can only be explained in one logical way: it was founded by time travelers who arrived in this age through the time doors. This is supported by the fact that many of its inhabitants, including two astronauts, appeared to know about mysterious Planet X, implying that some of the settlers had likely originated from a later time-zone where interplanetary travel was possible (and the rest likely originated from other future time zones).
Baradin's Town was home to a modest deli, an oracle, a chapel and a magical provisioner.
After the death of Minax and the disappearance of the time gates, Baradin's Town became unreachable. Millions of years later, when humans reached again the area, no trace of the time travelers' village was left. Later, the village of Le Jester stood in a very close location in Africa.

Trivia[edit]
- The druid's words, "Anol Nathrac Uth Des Bessod Dien Doch Dientes!" are a reference to the "charm of making" from the film Excalibur. They translate roughly to "Breath of serpent, spell of death and life, your song of making."[3][4]
