Map of Towne Makler |
Towne Makler is a settlement on Pluto in the year 2112 A.D. It appears to exist within the alternate time line created by Minax's interventions during Ultima II.
Description[edit]
Towne Makler was not an expansive town, home to but a few simple shops and a having a populace consisting mostly of interstellar pirates. It is not known whether these brigands were native Plutonians or space-faring ruffians, although their knowledge of affairs regarding late twentieth century Earth implied that they had worldly experience of both space travel and the time doors. During this era, it was also known to Earth's population that Pluto could support life[1] and the fact that the human homeworld at this time had a settlement named for piracy speaks to the possibility that such criminal employ had expanded beyond the oceans and into the stars.
Curiously, the initials of Lord British appeared in the center square of Towne Makler, implying that the then Terran ruler may have had influence upon the settlement in some way. Similar inscriptions could be found in the Terran Towne Linda in 1423 B.C. and in the Martian Towne Mary.
After the Time Doors closed and the ahistorical timeline became inaccessible, any other information about it is unknown.
