Shazzana is a Knight of the city of Monitor on Serpent Isle. She appears in Ultima VII Part Two.

Shazzana was a zealous and bellicose member of Monitor's Leopard Command, who advocated loudly for total war against the Goblins[1] and openly desired to take the mantle of Knight Champion.[2] She had been a close friend and companion to Astrid, who had been the city's previous Champion before her death during a Goblin raid,[3] but unlike the other Knights, she would make no remarks regarding her suspicions as to who betrayed Astrid's patrol. She was also swift to defend her fellow Leopard, Krayg, from the accusations of treason openly leveled at him during the Avatar's initiatory banquet, and engaged Luther in open combat over the insult, disrupting the ceremony.
Prior to the Avatar's arrival on Serpent Isle, when Batlin and his entourage passed through Monitor, Shazzana had a chance to spar with Deadeye. The mysterious sailor apparently charmed her, and the two of them enjoyed a brief tryst. She declined, however, to join Batlin's company, feeling the sage to be untrustworthy.[4]
In her day to day life among the Monitorians, Shazzana worked as a trainer, instructing the Knights of the city in speed-focused combat maneuvers. Hot-headed and proud, she would prove quick to anger should her prowess be doubted. Should the Avatar express doubt as to her skills, in fact, Shazzana would challenge the hero to a duel on the List Field.[5]
Should the Avatar expose the treachery of the Leopard Command's leadership, exposing Marsten and Spektor as goblin collaborators, Shazzana would come to head the faction herself.[6] She would not, however, succeed the disgraced Marsten as the city's ruler, as the Lordship of Monitor, for reasons unknown, fell to Brendann and the Wolves.[7] Ultimately, all of these changes in rank and command were of little consequence in the face of the city's eventual fate. Like virtually all of her fellow knights, Shazzana was killed when Monitor was stormed by a vast army of goblins and monsters, headed by Sir Dupre while he lay under the possession of the Bane of Wantonness.
