Deadeye is a henchman of Batlin in his mission on the Serpent Isle. He is a pirate with little to no scruples.
Description[edit]
Deadeye accompanied Batlin, along with Palos and Brunt, throughout the sage's explorations of Serpent Isle. Prior to joining Batlin's entourage, he served aboard a ship with Ruggs, who would relate, if asked, how Deadeye would unnerve his shipmates by claiming that his white, sightless eye had the power to lay a curse on them.[1] Few other Serpent Islanders knew much of the man, although in Monitor, Deadeye enjoyed a short tryst with the warrior Shazzana, who was impressed by his skills as a combatant. They parted ways shortly afterwards, however, given the Knight's distrust of Batlin and her refusal to work alongside him.[2]
Later during the events of Ultima VII Part Two, he confronted the Avatar in Spinebreaker. He threatened the Avatar to not go any further, before retreating to the entrance to the shrine. There, he attacked together with his companions.
In that battle, he found his death.
