Shannon is a trainer in Jhelom in Ultima V: Lazarus.
A brusque and forthright woman, Shannon wasted little time speaking her mind to the hero. Shannon told the Avatar in no uncertain terms that she was naturally blessed in all matters related to combat, and she made her career out of hiring herself out as a tutor, but was quick to stress that despite this she was no person's slave. She was willing to duel with the Avatar in the training fields and offer her training services, although she demanded half the fee upfront.[1]
She was quick to express her dissatisfaction with the current regime in Jhelom, feeling the city was under siege by the Oppression who subjugated and manipulated the population. Despite the valorous reputation of the warriors of the island, Shannon felt they were content to be ruled by outside forces represented by Jonus the Guard Captain, whom she found repulsive. The Guard Captain had even tried to lay his hands upon her, but her quick blade had served to protect her from his advances. Shannon further had few nice words for Fel, Jhelom’s mayor, feeling him a coward for being subjugated by the Oppression and advising her to hold her tongue. Not one to mince words, she felt if the people were to stand up to Blackthorn his regime would soon fall, but the adventurers Trian and Thorne merely sat idle and discussed past feats, although, Shannon did harbor a soft spot for Trian’s romantic interest in her.
