Savage Empire SNES Translation
The Savage Empire SNES Translation is a fan-patch created by Nytegard which fully translates the SNES-version of Savage Empire into English.
The Patch[edit]
The SNES-port of Savage Empire was only released in Japan, and thus also only was in Japanese, which made playing it outside of the country virtually impossible due to the language barrier. In 2024 Nytegard released this patch, which translates the game fully to English, thus making it playable for an international player. Nytegard himself admits that he did overlook some small parts in the translation and on occassion there are problems with numbers, but the game is fully playable and can be finished. The current version of the patch is 1.01.
Installation[edit]
For the installation of the patch a ROM-image of the Japanese game and an IPS-patcher program are required. The IPS patcher then has to be fed the ROM and the patch-file and the finished product then can be played on an emulator without any further trouble.
