Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]
This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.
In Ultima V: Lazarus, Milan mentioned how she loved to chat with her customers, mentioning in the past most merely wanted to talk and buy a few potions, but recently she had been treating more and more war wounds. She told the Avatar that she still talked to Flint regularly, and that man was very kind to her, a fact which her son, Therid, found hard to believe. Milan noted that waves of violence seemed to overtake Britain, and as soon as one townsperson appeared with wounds, there would soon be a flow of them, something which did not occur during Lord British’s reign. Extremely proud of her son, she remarked on the events of how he was adopted, and noted how Therid had quickly picked up the healing arts, and would some day be a great healer.[1]
She further talked about the other citizens of East Britanny, noting the Sir Adam frequently appeared with self-inflicted injuries from his experiments, Master Hawkins was a good man according to Flint, and that Squire Jimmy frequently got her son in trouble, but Flint felt that some mischief was good for her child.
Should the Avatar speak to Milan about her feelings for Flint, she will mention her romantic interest in her friend. Should the Avatar pursue this topic with Flint, the two characters will start up a romantic interest, and Flint will provide the Avatar with a powerful set of armor in thanks.[2]
Lore[edit]
“ | Also in this village can be found the Healer's Sanctum, where practices a chirurgeon of incomparable skill. In fact, the Sanctum was located in nearby Castle Britannia until the turmoil surrounding the King's disappearance began. Then, claiming the troubled, frantic air to be an ill influence upon the spiritual arts, the healer Milan moved her kiosk to the quieter East Britanny Suburbs. |

When trying to keep the Britain guards from sending them to the Inquisitors, Squirt pretends to be a palsied child, while his brother Jordan convinced the guards they were there to visit Milan.[3]
Quote[edit]
- Jordan dropped his arms protectively over Squirt's shoulders. He was ready to resume his role as older brother. "The boy's not right. They say the greatest healer of Britannia is Milan of Britain City. We thought--we hoped she could help him. Nobody at home can--" Squirt barked like a dog and drooled on his brother's hand. Jordan casually wiped it dry on the boy's shirt. "He's getting worse," he confided. "I don't know what we'll do if Milan can't help him."
