The following Ultima III monster data is taken from StrategyWiki.

Regular Monsters[edit]

Monsters are grouped in sets of three because in the original versions they were identical apart from the name. Later versions introduced different sprites (2–3 in the NES, 3 in the FM Towns), but attributes are still identical.

Special Monsters[edit]

The Experience of grass and floor enemies is set to 2 and 3, not because of their difficulty in combat, but rather because of the limited number of values in the Experience table and how it is referenced in comparison to the file sets (they are equivalent to the jester and the orc).

Townsfolk[edit]

Townsfolk are not monsters at all.

They do not attack the Companions. If the Companions attack someone in town, large numbers of strong guards will attack back.
