Destard (Ultima V)
Destard is not too difficult of a dungeon, at least until the final series of rooms.
Level 1: Head east at the junction and down the pit at the end of the tunnel.
Levels 2 and 3: Continue down.
Level 4: Head north, into the room, and down the grate.
Level 5: Go down through the first pit you see.
Level 6: Continue downward.
Level 7: Head northeast through a bat-filled room. Continue north, ignore the ceiling hole, and enter the room full of slime, hurrying down through a grate.
Level 8: Go south, then west at the junction, then into the first room you see. (See below for a hacky alternative.) There will be daemons surrounding a brazier; you can shoot it to flood their area with lava, kill them, and then leave and come back to reset the lava trap. Proceed south into a room full of dragons (one of the hardest fights in the game). South of here you'll find a hole leading to the Underworld.
Hacky alternative path for Level 8: Enter either of the other rooms on this level and immediately exit south. Either way, you'll end up in a wall (seemingly an error on the part of the game's programmers?) which you can walk out of and into the hallway. This won't work in the opposite direction.
The Underworld below Destard holds Lord British's Amulet. Note that you can also enter it through the waterfall in Spiritwood, however, if no Gate Travel spell is available, you can only exit through Destard. One fun option is to bring a moonstone down with you through Destard, bury it and use it to return to the surface, then take the waterfall back and use the moonstone to return once again.
