The phone card

With the port of Ultima II to the PC-88 in 1985, this phone card was released as merchandise by StarCraft.

Description[edit]

Despite it sounding absurd nowadays, in the 80s it was a common practise in Japan to release special phone cards for bigger video game releases. Starcraft did so for their release of the PC-88 port of Ultima II. The phone card in question has a value of "50", though it's not said, of what (in Yen it would a a ridiculously small value). The card does show a picture of the Ultima II map of Earth, in this case the second issue with the new Sierra logo visible on it.
