Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]

This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.

In Ultima V: Lazarus, Gremnor was a gruff man who had previously been an adventurer, but in his later years had decided to retire from that profession and earn a living by running Jhelom's local inn. He commented that his inn was well stocked, comfortable, and perfect for weary travelers who desired a comfortable bed, and that people could find good company at The Sword and Keg adjoining the inn. Gremnor was determined to keep his prices stable, saying it was important for good relations with customers, although, recently many other places had raised their prices due to Blackthorn’s increased taxes. Gremnor highly praised Trian’s voice, Thorne’s adventuring prowess, and Nicole’s immaculate running of The Sword and Keg.[1]

Gremnor felt that Blackthorn had been a competent leader with the situation he was handed, and that tax increases were an inevitable result of trying to suppress the rebellion that had occurred when the Oppression took power. Gremnor told the hero it had been a fiery time, and he had originally supported Sir Simon for lordship of Britannia, but now felt Blackthorn was the legitimate leader due to his appointment by Lord British, despite the brutality of the The Battle For Valor.
