This booklet is printed in color on glossy paper. The first two pages hold a complete overview of the controls of the character for quick reference. The following four pages however are a map book, showing maps of all discovered lands up to the moment, meaning Britannia and the Lost Lands. Both have two maps, one for the Trammel side, and one for the Felucca side.

Other Editions[edit]
The cover of the booklet varies greatly between issues, with each country having their own version. In some the sorceress in the logo is missing, some others replace her with the warrior from the back cover, and others have very different backgrounds. Some late editions of the expansion in international releases came without the booklet.
The Reference Guide was included in the compilation Best of Both Worlds, with no changes.
